This guitar - as far as I know - is one of one from 2012. My mom went to an Alzheimer's Foundation concert where Glen Campbell was performing. I do not know what location this show was performed.
This guitar's history: It was removed from the case, removed from the wrapper, tuned and played by Glen Campbell for a couple of songs, then signed by Glen Campbell, placed back in the wrapper, placed back in the case and given directly to my mom. It has never been cleaned or tuned again since that day - it has been kept in it's original condition since 2012.
My mom and Glen Campbell go back before I was born. We have photos from when my mom, brother and I were backstage, my brother and I with Glen Campbell, sitting on his lap. I'd have to believe those photos were from the early 80's (possibly 1982) in Daytona Beach, FL.
Last couple of photos - still looking for information on who the man playing the piano is - these were taken in either Michigan, Arizona or Florida. I have no further information.
This guitar is special. It was to commemorate the opening day of the Amway Center on October 1, 2010, after the transition from the Amway Arena. Since my mom sang the National Anthem for the Orlando Magic (from 1993-2021) and the Orlando Solar Bears (hockey team, formerly the Orlando Seals from the same time period), she was given this guitar - #1 of 100 - as a token of appreciation. It has never been tuned, cleaned, played or plugged in - it is in 100% original shape from Woodrow - 100% brand new. I have no other information about guitars #02 to #100.
This 12 string Melissa Etheridge guitar, to my knowledge, has never been tuned, cleaned or plugged in - ever. Apart from that, not much more history since my mom purchased it. Unknown purchase date or location.
The history about this guitar is limited - but I do know, for a fact, it has never been tuned, plugged in, or played.
This guitar was part of a promotion in 2003 with Alabama and Epiphone. These guitars were a part of a special purchase package of a ticket for the show, I believe it was around $3,000. When you purchased the special ticket, you were able to meet the band backstage and all band members signed these guitars and were then given directly to you. This example has never been plugged in, tuned, played or cleaned - ever.
Not much known history about this guitar, Glen Campbell 12 string Ovation.
This guitar was the one purchased brand new by my mom in November of 1973 - this is also, is the very guitar that she played with Glen Campbell, between 1973 and 1982.
Not much known history on this guitar, may or may not have been played by my mom with Glen Campbell.
